Two employees from Gigaphoton participated in the “57th National Skills Olympics (Aichi Skills Olympics/Abilympics 2019)” held in Aichi Prefecture from November 15 to 18, 2019. They accomplished the feat of a double win in the “Factory Electric Equipment” category with a bronze medal and Fighting Spirit Prize for the second consecutive year. Our company has won the bronze medal for the third straight year.
Bronze medal winner: Shunta Kazamaki from the Manufacturing Education Section, Production Division.
Fighting Spirit Prize winner: Haruki Omori from the Manufacturing Education Section, Production Division.
Mr. Kazamaki participated for the second time and won the Bronze medal following last year. Mr. Omori participated for the first time and won the Fighting Spirit Prize.
The level of the “Factory Electric Equipment” category, where listed companies from across Japan send strong participants, is increasing every year. The number of participants this year was 19, which was more than last year. Gigaphoton was able to obtain the results with such tough competition, and this is proof that our senior employees, including Chief Engineer Ajima of the Manufacturing Education Section and former participant Fukuda, gave proper instructions and transferred the technology which the current participants acquired by studying diligently.
President Katsumi Uranaka said the following. “I am very pleased that the prizes won by our employees are a result of the technical capabilities fostered by Gigaphoton and acquired by the younger generation. Gigaphoton established a technical training center ‘Gino Juku’ in 2007 and was working on improving skills. With the expansion of the center during the construction of a new building in 2017, we have further increased our focus on training. We will provide industry-leading technologies and quality products, and continue contributing to our customers.”

2019年11月15日～18日に愛知県で開催された、「第57回技能五輪全国大会（あいち技能五輪・アビリンピック2019）」に出場した2名のギガフォトン社員が、「工場電気設備」職種にて2年連続で銅賞、敢闘賞のダブル入賞という快挙を果たしました。当社の銅賞入賞は3年連続となります。
銅賞は、 生産部生産教育課 風巻 俊太（かざまき しゅんた）さん
敢闘賞は、生産部生産教育課 大森 春来（おおもり はるき）さん です。
風巻さんは今回2回目の出場で、前年に続き2度目の銅賞受賞、大森さんは初出場での敢闘賞受賞となります。
全国の上場企業が強豪選手を送り込む「工場電気設備」職種は、年々レベルが上がっており、今年度は昨年を上まわる19名が出場しました。そのような中、ギガフォトンが今回のような結果を残すことができたのは、生産教育課の安島工師長や福田元選手を始めとした先輩達が、技術の指導と伝承をしっかり行い、出場選手たちがそれを受け継ぎ研鑽を積んだことの証明です。
