We at Gigaphoton decided at a special meeting of the Board of Directors on February 21, 2012, to appoint a new president and CEO as described below.

1. Reason for Transfer

Since its foundation on August 1, 2000, Gigaphoton has been worked to achieve the highest quality and reliability of its products, backed up by a global customer support system. As a result, the company has gained an approximately 50% share in the market of excimer laser light sources for semiconductor lithography and established a stabilized business base. The new management team has been appointed taking this opportunity to further expand Gigaphoton’s excimer laser business as well as to accelerate the marketing of next-generation EUV light sources.
