CSR Procurement and a Responsible Supply Chain

As a member of the Komatsu Group, we uphold the Komatsu CSR Procurement Guidelines and the Green Procurement Guidelines, working toward the realization of global CSR procurement.
Based on these guidelines, we actively promote responsible mineral sourcing and proper management of chemical substances contained in products throughout our supply chain.

[Responsible Mineral Sourcing Policy]

To comply with international human rights and environmental regulations and to build a responsible supply chain, we have established the following policy:

  • We do not use parts or products that contain conflict minerals—such as tungsten, tantalum, gold, and tin—sourced from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and surrounding conflict-affected regions, or any minerals with high risks of human rights violations, environmental destruction, conflict, or social injustice.
  • We communicate our basic policy to our suppliers and conduct necessary due diligence.
  • If the use of conflict minerals is identified, we will discontinue procurement and take corrective measures.

Through responsible mineral sourcing, we are committed to respecting human rights, protecting the environment, and contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.

[Policy on Management of Chemical Substances in Products]

We declare our commitment to ensuring compliance with international regulations and alignment with industry standards related to the management of chemical substances in products. To achieve this, we have established an appropriate management framework and are dedicated to its continuous improvement. We promote this initiative under the following policy principles:

  • Establishing and continuously improving a management system
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations for products and alignment with industry standards
  • Developing responsible information-sharing practices across the supply chain

Through these activities, we aim to ensure environmental protection, legal compliance, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
