ギガフォトン株式会社（本社: 栃木県小山市、代表取締役社長: 渡辺裕司)は、100％出資の米国法人Gigaphoton USA Inc.（米オレゴン州ビーバートン）が新しい本社事務所及びトレーニングセンターを開設したと発表しました。2012年2月17日に行われた開所式と施設内見学及び昼食会には、ビーバートン市のデニス・ドイル市長及びビーバートン商工会議所のロレイン・クラーノ会頭の地元政財界トップをはじめ、70名以上の米国のお客様、サプライヤー、ビジネスパートナーをご招待したほか、ギガフォトン本社経営陣及び従業員が参加しました。
2008年のGigaphoton USA設立以降、北米地域におけるギガフォトン製レーザ装置のインストール台数は10倍以上に増加しており、2010年12月には米国テキサス州オースティンにテクニカルサポートセンターを開設し、リアルタイムでのレーザパフォーマンスモニタリング、24時間365日体制でのテクニカルサポートを提供しています。今回の新本社事務所及びレーニングセンターの開設は、米国における経営・物流及びトレーニング施設を一箇所に集約することで、お客様に提供するサポートの一層の充実を目指すものです。

OYAMA, JAPAN: March 21 , 2012 — Gigaphoton, Inc., has announced the Grand Opening of its new US Headquarters and Training Center, located in Beaverton, Oregon. In an event held on Friday, February 17, which included a facility tour and catered luncheon, Gigaphoton USA hosted over 70 local customers, vendors, business partners, employees and guests, including Beaverton Mayor Dennis Doyle, President of the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce Lorraine Clarno, and the Executive Management Group from Gigaphoton, Inc.
Over the past four years, Gigaphoton USA has increased its laser installed bases by more than 10 times . In December 2010, the company opened a Technical Support Center in Austin, Texas, to provide real-time laser performance monitoring and 24/7 second-line technical support. To better serve its ever increasing installed bases by complementing this Technical Support Center, Gigaphoton USA designed its new facility to include US management, logistics and a training facility in one location.
Gigaphoton President and CEO Dr. Yuji Watanabe commented: “To meet the needs of our growing US-based customers, we decided to expand our US headquarters. This expansion allows consolidation of all management and logistical operations as well as operation and maintenance training capabilities for both single- and dual-chamber lasers in one location.
